Anyways, I really like this picture and the whole Lightning Mom type series you've been doing <3
Actually, I comprehend and support your point of view. First: I can't say anything about Noctis, since I don't know anything about him because Versus hasn't been released yet. Second: I hate crossovers. With a few exceptions. But usually, I hate them and FFXIII Lightning with Noctis together is a crossover. Third: I don't understand why "Lightis"-Fans prefer the Lighting/Noctis couple; They have nothing to do with each other and their relationship is completely pointless. Well, I don't like that kind of pairing after all, but I accept everyone's opinion, no matter how different they are. Maybe Noctis is a nice guy and he will be more interesting when I'm able to play Versus but for now it's just to early to form a view on him. Not least because of the lack of Versus information. (-_-°)
For Lightning, I think she's fine with a guy (It still depends who). But in her case, the man is always definitely the inferior! XD So I guess it's not bad at all to pair her up with a man...but everyone has different opinions and that's okay how it is.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it! (^Д^)
Not intentionally trying to make you uncomfortable or anything but my view on pairing Lightning with men is also influenced by the fact that I prefer female-female relationships over female-male. Especially with Lighty-Bear. Although in girl-girl relationships they can't realisticly reproduce so if I want to make them have babies I have to invent some creative way that one could get the other pregnant. For instance, when both agree to conceive the one wishing to impregnate the other places their palm over the other's pelvis. Genes representing all of their different traits (randomly picked by the body) are manifested into cell-things (similar to sperm) and transfered into the other's body to search for an egg. =] And I just came up with that idea right this very second ;D!
No problem! ;3
Lightning doesn't need a cool emo prince...she needs a REAL man (^Д^) Seriosly, imo Noctis is not the man for her. And mostly because of, like you said, his personality. From what I've heard I think they aren't tuned to the same wavelength.
Oh don't worry, I'm a very unbiased (is that the right word? xD) person and I know many people who prefer homosexual pairings over hetero couples. I like any kind of love depicting, no matter which sex they have.
I'm not a biologist and I don't know if it's possible that two female individuals can have babies by the usual road, but we can dream and find a way to make it possible. I mean, it's just fantasy and fantasy doesn't need any consistent explanation. So have fun with your Yuri pairing and give them the chance to raise a family. (へДへ)
I, for myself, find it bad that homosexuals haven't got the possibility to have own children.. (☍﹏⁰)
Oh, I hope this wasn't too difficult to understand...I usually don't speak English. (꒪ Δ ꒪; )
I've seen trailers and clips from the game and I've also researched what the game is going to be like and to me it seems like a Grand Theft Auto game. Apparently you can have the ability to steal vehicles (sometimes) and take pictures with your cell phone. Versus seems like a cool game (aside from that Grand Theft Auto stuff) but I would rather play as Stella than Noctis. I wish Nomura would have been in charge of FFXIII instead =[.
A lot of people say they don't like the story of FFXIII (but I loved it dearly) but XIII wasn't about the story it was more about the characters and their development which Toriyama admitted. In my opinion the story is better than what Versus main story sounds like it's going to be. I mean I haven't played Versus or anything but Nomura said it's going to be like Romeo and Juliet sort of which is quite over done and boring compared to the Norse mythology based storyline of XIII. But still Nomura is better at telling the story than Toriyama. I feel like Nomura would have delved deeper into the characters' pasts than Toriyama did. I would have loved to see Lightning and Serah flashbacks of their reltionship as children.
A GTA game? o.o Geez, that sounds hard. I mean, I like GTA, but I want to play a Final Fantasy game and not...GTA. So why would you prefer playing as Stella? She's the enemy, right?
I wonder why Nomura said the story will be like Romeo and Juliet. The Shakespeare quote at the beginning of the trailer is not Romeo and Juliet. It's from Shakespeares Hamlet and that story would be quite interesting, when Noctis is like Prince Hamlet. ^o^ Well, perhaps it's a mix of both plays...
Okay, but even the character development in FFXIII was rather lame. They focused only on the main characters and that makes the story boring over time (for me). I've missed secondary characters and their backgrounds, but everything was too short. D: Ok, that's my point of view, but the Norse mytology is interesting, though.
Aw, Light and Serah flashbacks would be awesome! But I guess that's the job of the fan community to make fanart and stories about the characters' pasts. I really hope Versus is a good game compared to what SE did in the last years. FFXIII-2 was a complete disappointment to me. And for you?
I didn't think there was any secondary characters in FFXIII. The only one I can think of is Serah and she was turned into crystal so she couldn't have experienced any development really.
In my opinion the character development was much better than Cloud Strife's =/ It seemed like he never really grew up from all of the horrific stuff that happened to him and just kept feeling sorry for himself. I understand his childhood was SHITTY as all hell and he lost both his best friend and a girlfriend and I lost my dad so I understand his grief but it just seems like...he never moved on really. And to me it got a little irritating at how SE just kept giving him a bigger and bigger pity story. He would have been so much better as a character if they gave him an actual story instead of making everyone around him die or leave or whatever. I loved Cloud int he beginning but as time went on and they gave him more stuff I just got sick of always feeling sorry for him and being like "Awwwwe poor Cloud!"
I still actually like Cloud and think that he is actually pretty cool but I can't become close to a character where the only relationship I can develop with him is just founded on pity and sorrow =[ And his lack of backbone (in Advent Children). Again I understand a lot has happened and he's still grieving I guess but all of his friends and family and stuff were in danger in Advent Children and he just kept acting like "I'm a failure I can't do anything.... I'm no good why should I even bother..." It made me mad at Square more than anything. I'll say it once more XD I do enjoy Cloud and think he's a cool guy but I won't ever like him as much as Lightning even though FFXIII wasn't as agood of a game as it could have been if they worked harder on it. I'm not really focusing on the game when I say I love Lightning though I love her as a character no matter what game she comes from. And I do realize FFXIII had a lot of flaws and the story wasn't very well told even though I did really think it was cool. XD
OH! The Romeo and Juliet thing is because Noctis and Stella fall in love but they're from opposing Nations or Kingdoms or whatever. I wouldn't call her an enemy really because so far her motive for fighting him is just because she's defending her Kingdom. I don't see how she's 'bad' for doing that. But we haven't played the actual game yet so she could have a different motive. I know I shouldn't "judge a book by its cover" but from the trailers I've seen Noctis doesn't seem like a very interesting character and he seems very mainstreamed. Although I wouldn't be able to play Versus XIII anyways since I don't own a PS3 =[
And no problem! :3 I actually just had to look up the word colloquial because I've NEVER seen it before....and I read all the time. Good literature too not that Twilight or Hunger Games pop-culture stuff. I usually speak as formal as possible (which means I also often don't understand some of the 'colliquial' language my peers use XD).
