Okay, this is a scene from my fanfiction where Lightning is an awesome mother (^◇^)
I really wanted to see her with a child and that's what came out of a quick 10 minute sketch with crappy color. But I've captured the scene very well imo, exactly like I imagined. I love their expressions. I had it in my mind and I wanted to bring it on paper as quickly as possible :D

Sorry about my inner cinema, but it's only fanfiction. I think Lightning would be a great mother if she get used to it (^Д^) She did a more or less good job on Hope in the main game, haha ^o^
So what do you think about Light as a mother figure?

Lightning belongs to Square Enix

I love Lightning as a mother figure but I always picture her as a single mother. I just don't like her being with a man (Final Fantasy men or not). The American idea is that men are superior and Women are inferior so it would REALLY anger me if someone that didn't know Lightning saw that I paired her with a man and then thought of her as inferior because of it. So to make her a single mom I just made Noctis the biological father and then turned him into a complete douche by making him cheat on Lightning (and I made the baby look nothing like him XD). No offense to Noctis lovers or anything I'm not trying to bash him it's just part of my story (in case any Noctis lovers see this comment). Although for some reason I DESPISE Noctis. No idea why I just hate his guts.

Anyways, I really like this picture and the whole Lightning Mom type series you've been doing <3

Thanks a lot for your comment!
Actually, I comprehend and support your point of view. First: I can't say anything about Noctis, since I don't know anything about him because Versus hasn't been released yet. Second: I hate crossovers. With a few exceptions. But usually, I hate them and FFXIII Lightning with Noctis together is a crossover. Third: I don't understand why "Lightis"-Fans prefer the Lighting/Noctis couple; They have nothing to do with each other and their relationship is completely pointless. Well, I don't like that kind of pairing after all, but I accept everyone's opinion, no matter how different they are. Maybe Noctis is a nice guy and he will be more interesting when I'm able to play Versus but for now it's just to early to form a view on him. Not least because of the lack of Versus information. (-_-°)
For Lightning, I think she's fine with a guy (It still depends who). But in her case, the man is always definitely the inferior! XD So I guess it's not bad at all to pair her up with a man...but everyone has different opinions and that's okay how it is.

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it! (^Д^)

I don't mind crossovers depending on who the person is. I like pairing Lightning with Tifa or Aerith because of their personalities (and nothing to do with Cloud). Or Yuna. When I do crossovers I do it based on personality rather than their story and/or universe. Noctis is just a prince who thinks his life is so difficult since he has to fight a girl he loves since she's from the opposing kingdom. Obviously there's more to it but that pretty much sums up the whole storyline in basic (and fairly boring to me honestly) terms. Most people pair him with Lightning because they think he's a cool emo prince which is definitely not a good reason to pair him with her. But that's just my opinion on the situation. Like I said, to each their own.
Not intentionally trying to make you uncomfortable or anything but my view on pairing Lightning with men is also influenced by the fact that I prefer female-female relationships over female-male. Especially with Lighty-Bear. Although in girl-girl relationships they can't realisticly reproduce so if I want to make them have babies I have to invent some creative way that one could get the other pregnant. For instance, when both agree to conceive the one wishing to impregnate the other places their palm over the other's pelvis. Genes representing all of their different traits (randomly picked by the body) are manifested into cell-things (similar to sperm) and transfered into the other's body to search for an egg. =] And I just came up with that idea right this very second ;D!

No problem! ;3

Well, okay, I think pairing up FF characters from different universes is pretty much acceptable to me since Dissidia brought them all together. Even if it's a crossover, I really like that game, the personalities and the plot. I ship a few Dissidia couples, too. But to the Versus story, I prefer to wait paicently until the game's out ^^; Maybe the story is so good, that I like Noctis as a character after all. I build my hope upon the fact, that Nomura is the playwright and director for this game and he is a great man. (Unlike to Motomu Toriyama the troll (director of FFXIII/XIII-2)...he's such a bad story teller imo...I didn't really like the story of FFXIII.)
Lightning doesn't need a cool emo prince...she needs a REAL man (^Д^) Seriosly, imo Noctis is not the man for her. And mostly because of, like you said, his personality. From what I've heard I think they aren't tuned to the same wavelength.
Oh don't worry, I'm a very unbiased (is that the right word? xD) person and I know many people who prefer homosexual pairings over hetero couples. I like any kind of love depicting, no matter which sex they have.
I'm not a biologist and I don't know if it's possible that two female individuals can have babies by the usual road, but we can dream and find a way to make it possible. I mean, it's just fantasy and fantasy doesn't need any consistent explanation. So have fun with your Yuri pairing and give them the chance to raise a family. (へДへ)
I, for myself, find it bad that homosexuals haven't got the possibility to have own children.. (☍﹏⁰)

Oh, I hope this wasn't too difficult to understand...I usually don't speak English. (꒪ Δ ꒪; )

It wasn't too difficult to understand. Honestly you speak better English than most people. You use proper grammar and know what words to use where and how to actually spell them. It's quite refreshing compared to what I usually see in comments/replies.
I've seen trailers and clips from the game and I've also researched what the game is going to be like and to me it seems like a Grand Theft Auto game. Apparently you can have the ability to steal vehicles (sometimes) and take pictures with your cell phone. Versus seems like a cool game (aside from that Grand Theft Auto stuff) but I would rather play as Stella than Noctis. I wish Nomura would have been in charge of FFXIII instead =[.
A lot of people say they don't like the story of FFXIII (but I loved it dearly) but XIII wasn't about the story it was more about the characters and their development which Toriyama admitted. In my opinion the story is better than what Versus main story sounds like it's going to be. I mean I haven't played Versus or anything but Nomura said it's going to be like Romeo and Juliet sort of which is quite over done and boring compared to the Norse mythology based storyline of XIII. But still Nomura is better at telling the story than Toriyama. I feel like Nomura would have delved deeper into the characters' pasts than Toriyama did. I would have loved to see Lightning and Serah flashbacks of their reltionship as children.

Aw, thank you so much! I feel flattered! (^///^) I had 10 years English 6 hours a week, it's not that good though, but I think it's enough to talk/write to others oversea. ^^; It's just hard for me when people talk in colloquial language here on dA. Then the best friend is my dictionary beside me. XD
A GTA game? o.o Geez, that sounds hard. I mean, I like GTA, but I want to play a Final Fantasy game and not...GTA. So why would you prefer playing as Stella? She's the enemy, right?
I wonder why Nomura said the story will be like Romeo and Juliet. The Shakespeare quote at the beginning of the trailer is not Romeo and Juliet. It's from Shakespeares Hamlet and that story would be quite interesting, when Noctis is like Prince Hamlet. ^o^ Well, perhaps it's a mix of both plays...
Okay, but even the character development in FFXIII was rather lame. They focused only on the main characters and that makes the story boring over time (for me). I've missed secondary characters and their backgrounds, but everything was too short. D: Ok, that's my point of view, but the Norse mytology is interesting, though.
Aw, Light and Serah flashbacks would be awesome! But I guess that's the job of the fan community to make fanart and stories about the characters' pasts. I really hope Versus is a good game compared to what SE did in the last years. FFXIII-2 was a complete disappointment to me. And for you?

FF XIII-2 was made "by the fans" SE did not plan a sequel for FFXIII but the fans roared about it so they made one in about a year and a half where Final Fantasy games take 4+ years to make. I really enjoyed it. The ending made me flip out but I loved how they had Caius mention something near the beginning that didn't seem too important/relevant but actually was and then at the end Noel has his flashback and I was like "Oh SHIT! o.o I forgot about that T^T!" The ending was a complete shock to me and I love that. I hate storylines I can guess *cough*SKYRIM*cough-cough* <.<
I didn't think there was any secondary characters in FFXIII. The only one I can think of is Serah and she was turned into crystal so she couldn't have experienced any development really.
In my opinion the character development was much better than Cloud Strife's =/ It seemed like he never really grew up from all of the horrific stuff that happened to him and just kept feeling sorry for himself. I understand his childhood was SHITTY as all hell and he lost both his best friend and a girlfriend and I lost my dad so I understand his grief but it just seems like...he never moved on really. And to me it got a little irritating at how SE just kept giving him a bigger and bigger pity story. He would have been so much better as a character if they gave him an actual story instead of making everyone around him die or leave or whatever. I loved Cloud int he beginning but as time went on and they gave him more stuff I just got sick of always feeling sorry for him and being like "Awwwwe poor Cloud!"
I still actually like Cloud and think that he is actually pretty cool but I can't become close to a character where the only relationship I can develop with him is just founded on pity and sorrow =[ And his lack of backbone (in Advent Children). Again I understand a lot has happened and he's still grieving I guess but all of his friends and family and stuff were in danger in Advent Children and he just kept acting like "I'm a failure I can't do anything.... I'm no good why should I even bother..." It made me mad at Square more than anything. I'll say it once more XD I do enjoy Cloud and think he's a cool guy but I won't ever like him as much as Lightning even though FFXIII wasn't as agood of a game as it could have been if they worked harder on it. I'm not really focusing on the game when I say I love Lightning though I love her as a character no matter what game she comes from. And I do realize FFXIII had a lot of flaws and the story wasn't very well told even though I did really think it was cool. XD

OH! The Romeo and Juliet thing is because Noctis and Stella fall in love but they're from opposing Nations or Kingdoms or whatever. I wouldn't call her an enemy really because so far her motive for fighting him is just because she's defending her Kingdom. I don't see how she's 'bad' for doing that. But we haven't played the actual game yet so she could have a different motive. I know I shouldn't "judge a book by its cover" but from the trailers I've seen Noctis doesn't seem like a very interesting character and he seems very mainstreamed. Although I wouldn't be able to play Versus XIII anyways since I don't own a PS3 =[
And no problem! :3 I actually just had to look up the word colloquial because I've NEVER seen it before....and I read all the time. Good literature too not that Twilight or Hunger Games pop-culture stuff. I usually speak as formal as possible (which means I also often don't understand some of the 'colliquial' language my peers use XD).
